Allied / Tech - Respiratory Therapist
The University of Virginia Medical Center is seeking a travel respiratory therapist for a 13-week assignment. The position requires 36 hours per week, with every other weekend and holiday. The unit has a self-scheduling model, and while the manager will explain the scheduling process, the schedule is not guaranteed but will be accommodated as much as possible. Must have level 4 NICU experience and cardiac PICU experience is preferred. Required certifications include RRT, BLS, NRP, and VA state license. ACCS is preferred.
Special equipment competency required for the Bunnell Jet Ventilator and HFOV 3100A. Travel compliance includes a maximum of 40 hours of pre-start time off, and all required certifications, references, and background checks must be submitted. Floating within the scope of practice is required, and travelers are not eligible to return after 365 total assignment days.
