Breezy Hills Rehabilitation and Care Center Position: RN Unit Manager Facility: Breezy Hills Rehabilitation and Care Center Location: Lakeland, FL Shift: Full-Time 7:30a-4:30p Salary: $75,500–$87,500 annually Position Summary Breezy Hills Rehabilitation and Care Center is seeking an experienced and compassionate RN Unit Manager to join our leadership team. This role is responsible for overseeing daily nursing operations, ensuring high-quality resident care, and supporting staff in compliance, safety, and service excellence. Key Responsibilities Assist the Director and Associate Director of Nursing in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing services. Supervise and support nursing staff to ensure compliance with facility policies and state/federal regulations. Conduct daily rounds to monitor quality of care and staff performance. Participate in resident care planning, physician rounds, QA programs, and surveys. Manage staffing levels, schedules, and assignments to ensure appropriate coverage. Lead performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and assist with hiring and retention. Provide direct nursing care as needed, including medication administration and treatments. Collaborate with MDS, Social Services, and interdisciplinary teams on care planning and discharge planning. Investigate incidents, monitor new admissions, review labs, and ensure safety and abuse prevention compliance. Maintain accurate documentation and charting in accordance with nursing standards. Requirements Active, unencumbered RN license in the State of Florida. Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Strong knowledge of nursing practices and regulatory requirements. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively with staff, residents, and families. English proficiency required (reading, writing, and speaking).
