Genetic Counselor

To support the genetic counseling team, the part-time Genetic Counseling Assistant I will manage genetic test order reviews, facilitate test setups, and coordinate patient care remotely, working Tuesday to Saturday from 8 am to 4:30 pm ET or Monday to Friday from 1:30 pm to 10 pm ET. Key responsibilities Review genetic test orders for completeness and appropriateness to prevent unnecessary testing Facilitate test setups by linking samples and performing configuration tasks Respond to inquiries from patients and providers regarding test holds and document resolution steps Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Biology, Medical Technology, Healthcare, or a related scientific field Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications Foundational knowledge about Genetic Counseling Assistance is preferred Professional-level proficiency in mathematical reasoning and computer literacy
