Reporting to the NICU Nurse Manager and collaborating closely with the Neonatology leadership team, a Neonatal ICU RN (Nights) delivers direct and indirect total nursing care, prioritizes evidence-based practice, and supervises assigned personnel while partnering with respiratory therapy, lactation consultants, pharmacy, PT/OT, social work, and case management. This NICU Nurse leverages strong interpretive skills and clear verbal, written, and electronic communication to coordinate high-acuity care, document precisely, and support quality and safety initiatives in a friendly, diverse, and highly collaborative team that values mentorship, precepting, and continuous learning.

Qualifications for the Neonatal ICU RN (Nights) include a Bachelor's in Nursing, at least one year of acute care experience, and an active RN licensure in Virginia or a Compact state; this NICU Nurse will find robust onboarding, night-shift support, specialty certification incentives, and access to advanced clinical protocols and decision support that empower confident practice and compassionate, family-centered care.
