The Regional Manager oversees assigned brick and mortar and mobile branches. This position provides leadership and direction to Branch and Mobile Unit Managers. Responsible for quality customer service, lead growth initiatives, assist with operational integrity, build brand awareness in the community, manage profitability, expense, and loss control. Responsible for manager selection and manager development.This role will require the ability to travel a minimum of 50% of the time to support branches and teams. Assist Director of Retail Banking (DRB) in budgeting process for related departments. Responsible for supporting Retail Operations. Assist DRB in researching and recommending products to enhance the Bank’s product offerings to remain competitive, which includes understanding of electronic banking functionality, including ATM, online banking, bill payment, mobile banking, mobile bank unit, mobile deposit and other electronic applications. Ensure sufficient employee and customer education, training and support are provided. Responsible for manager development through various training mediums. Provide supervision of the Bank’s retail banking and customer service areas. Establish procedures to maintain high standard of customer service supported by training. Manage general operation functions of the retail banking and customer service environments. Support manager to identify, plan and implement procedural changes as required. Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the bank’s products and services. Ensure that staff maintain a similar level of knowledge. Ensure branches remain compliant in hiring practices. Ensure that the physical environment of all branches is maintained according to Bank of Bird-in-Hand’s standards and the staff reflects the desired level of professionalism. Serve as a member on various committees as assigned. Travel to branches and bank facilities as necessary. Responsible for supporting yearly company growth targets of all Branch/Mobile units. Direct accountability for service and growth performance across assigned units. Build brand awareness by having a presence in the community. Maintain a strong workforce that supports company’s mission statement. Works closely with Deposit Operations, Human Resources, Compliance, and Marketing to perform assigned duties as needed. Conducts team meetings as needed to support employee development, team morale, and deliver expectations across all teams. Guides and assists direct reports with hiring, periodic reviews and disciplinary actions as well as conducting such activities on their own. Perform other duties as required. Education and Experience: Minimum of five years’ supervisory experience. Through knowledge of operational policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with customers and employees. Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills. Ability to solve problems. Willingness and ability to travel a minimum of 50% of the time. Use of own car for travel and appointments. Valid driver’s license Ability to represent the Bank in a professional capacity at professional and networking functions.
