Landscape Enhancement Laborer

Nature's Perspective Landscaping, a locally owned company serving Evanston, Chicago, and the North Shore since 1979, is seeking a dependable Landscape Enhancement Laborer / Crew Member to join our Enhancement division. This hands-on, outdoor role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with plants and contributing to the creation of exceptional landscapes. As part of a dedicated crew, you will help complete plant-focused landscape improvement projects with a strong emphasis on quality, safety, and teamwork. This is a seasonal position with work scheduled Monday through Friday and occasional Saturdays during peak season. Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with a landscape enhancement crew to complete improvement projects.
- Assist with plant installations, bed renovations, soil preparation, transplanting, mulching, and related landscape improvements.
- Load, unload, and organize plants, materials, and tools while maintaining clean and orderly job sites.
- Safely operate landscape hand tools and equipment as required for project tasks.
- Follow landscape plans and crew leader instructions to achieve quality, safety, and productivity goals.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in landscaping, horticulture, or outdoor labor is required.
- Interest in plants and horticulture; plant knowledge is a plus.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic hardscape installation or repair experience is helpful but not required.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, perform physical labor, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Reliable transportation required; a valid driver's license is preferred but not required.
- Strong English communication skills; Spanish language skills are a plus.
- Must be at least 18 years old and eligible to work in the United States.
Compensation
$20–$24 per hour , based on experience. Overtime pay is available.
