Radiology Technologist

Up to $30,000 new hire sign on bonus, up to $7,000 in relocation assistance is available. HOURS: Mainly M-F 11am-7p, rotating Holidays, weekends, and on-call responsibilities.

The multi-modality Radiology Technologist performs a variety of technical procedures for radiological diagnosis or treatment of patients, using injection skills as needed, and other related techniques to produce images for interpretation by a radiologist or other credentialed specialist. Experience: CT experience strongly preferred. Licensure/Certification: AARRT registry, registry eligible. If not registered in CT, must become CT registered within 2 years of hire date. AHA BLS-HCP required; May be required to obtain/maintain BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP based on specific work unit.

• Operates highly specialized, technical equipment to obtain quality images. Performs IV contrast injections and other skills as required.
• May schedule and register patients. Maintain patient files.
• Evaluates, prepares, positions and observes patients with a high degree of professional ethics, care, courtesy, patience and safety.
• Complies with all Carilion Clinic and Imaging policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines.
• Trains students and staff as assigned.
• Interprets information needed to identify patient's requirement relative to specific needs and provides care per applicable policy and procedures.
• Interacts with patients, families, visitors and all members of the healthcare team to develop, coordinate and manage the plan of care.
• Works with physicians, other healthcare providers and patients.
• May provide care at other Carilion facilities to meet patient needs.

Compensation Range: $30.47 - $45.71

Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
