Tax Manager

Flexibility to work remotely a few days per week.Job ResponsibilitiesExecute various accounting and tax tasks under the guidance of a supervisor, manager, or partner.Show proficiency in technical skills, work quality, and adherence to professional and firm standards.Direct assistants as necessary, instructing them on tasks and reviewing their work.Prepare and organize working papers to verify accuracy and validity of client financials under GAAP.Handle complex tax returns and dissolution/liquidation filings.Propose tax planning strategies to managers and partners.Draft routine client correspondence and management letters.Supervise and guide junior staff accountants and assistants, reviewing their work and providing feedback.Qualifications3-5 years of public accounting experience, with increasing complexity in accounting tasks and tax expertise.Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting.Minimum 40 hours of annual continuing professional education required.CPA license or actively pursuing one through the state CPA exam.Active AICPA membership if licensed.
