Audiologist

Provide comprehensive diagnostic, rehabilitative, and counseling services for pediatric and adult patients with hearing and balance-related concerns Conduct behavioral and objective audiologic assessments, including pure-tone and speech audiometry, immittance testing, otoacoustic emissions, and electrophysiologic testing Perform pediatric diagnostic evaluations, including newborn ABR/ASSR testing, Visual Reinforcement Audiometry, and Conditioned Play Audiometry Educate patients and families about hearing loss, treatment options, communication strategies, hearing conservation, amplification options, and Hearing Assistive Technology systems Evaluate and counsel cochlear implant and bone conduction implant candidates Provide full-scope clinical management of implant recipients, including device activation, eSRT measurements, ongoing programming, rehabilitation support, and troubleshooting Manage implant-related equipment, including operating room device ordering, exchanges, replacements, and upgrades Evaluate patients with tinnitus and provide basic counseling, education, and management strategies Collaborate with interdisciplinary providers to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care Requirements Master’s or Doctoral degree in Audiology (Au.D.) from an accredited program required Successful completion of supervised clinical practicum and fellowship (per state requirements) Active state licensure as an Audiologist (or eligibility for licensure) required Ability to perform behavioral and objective audiologic assessments Experience or ability to perform pediatric and newborn diagnostic testing, including ABR/ASSR, VRA, and CPA Ability to assess individuals with a wide range of developmental and cognitive abilities Knowledge of cochlear implants and bone conduction hearing devices, including candidacy evaluation, activation, programming, rehabilitation support, and troubleshooting Ability to evaluate and counsel patients with tinnitus Ability to collaborate with otolaryngologists, primary care providers, educational audiologists, Teachers of the Deaf, and Speech-Language Pathologists Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in audiologic assessments, including behavioral and objective testing, and provides comprehensive management for cochlear and bone conduction implant patients. Collaborates effectively with interdisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care and education on hearing loss and treatment options.
