Revenue ManagerOur company is a leading AV integration and Data Center construction firm seeking a detail-oriented Revenue Manager to join our Finance team. This role is critical to ensuring accurate revenue recognition across complex, long-term construction and integration projects. The ideal candidate has a strong background in construction accounting, percentage-of-completion methodology, and project-based revenue recognition, and thrives in a collaborative, in-person environment working closely with Project Managers, Operations, and Finance leadership.ResponsibilitiesOwn the month-end and quarter-end revenue recognition process for AV integration and data center construction projects, ensuring compliance with ASC 606 and percentage-of-completion (POC) accounting standardsPartner with Project Managers to review job cost budgets, estimated costs to complete, and billing schedules to ensure accurate revenue and margin reportingLead forecasting of job costs across active projects, working with Project Managers to update estimates-to-complete and identify cost trends that could impact revenue and marginWork closely and manage a growing team of Project Accountants (PAs) to ensure consistent, accurate job cost tracking, timely revenue entries, and alignment between project-level accounting and overall revenue recognitionPrepare and analyze Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules, identifying over/under billings and reconciling to the general ledgerReview and approve project-level revenue entries, change orders, and contract modifications for proper accounting treatmentMonitor project profitability and flag variances, cost overruns, or schedule delays that may impact revenue recognitionCollaborate with the billing/PA team to ensure invoicing aligns with contract terms and revenue recognizedSupport the Financial Controller in month-end close, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis related to revenueAssist with the preparation of revenue-related audit schedules and support external auditors during annual audits and reviewsDevelop and maintain internal controls and documentation related to revenue recognition policies and proceduresIdentify opportunities to improve revenue reporting processes, WIP reporting accuracy, and cross-departmental communication with Project Management and OperationsProvide ad hoc revenue analysis and reporting to Finance leadership as neededAssist with training and mentoring of junior accounting staff on revenue-related processesQualificationBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with significant exposure to construction, engineering, or project-based revenue recognition2-3+ years of supervising/managing experienceStrong working knowledge of percentage-of-completion accounting and ASC 606Experience preparing and analyzing WIP schedulesAdvanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, financial modeling)Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsExperience forecasting job costs and estimates-to-complete on active projectsAbility to collaborate effectively with and provide guidance to a team of Project AccountantsAbility to work in-person, full-time, at the Rockville, MD officePreferred:• CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred• Experience in AV integration, low-voltage, data center, or general construction industries• Experience with construction/ERP software (e.g., Sage 300 CRE, Procore, Viewpoint, Foundation, or similar)• Public accounting background (audit or advisory)NTI is an organization committed to diversity and inclusion to drive its business results and to create a better future every day for its diverse employees, clients, partners and communities.
