Program Director, Employee Relations

For our client, we are seeking a Program Director, Employee Relations to join the team of a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space. This role will shape and stand up a new enterprise Employee Relations function, creating the processes, standards, and tools needed to support consistent decision-making across the organization. The position will partner closely with HR, Legal, and business leaders to address complex employee matters, strengthen leader capability, and improve issue management outcomes. It is a highly visible opportunity to influence how sensitive workplace situations are handled while building long-term ER infrastructure in a large, multi-faceted environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $121,300 – $190,630 annually Responsibilities Build and implement the enterprise Employee Relations model with clear processes and standards Lead complex investigations and high-risk employee matters from start to finish Create effective processes for raising, assessing, and resolving employee issues Develop tools and training to enhance leaders' and HR teams' Employee Relations capabilities Analyze workforce data to identify trends and inform proactive decision‑making Collaborate across the enterprise to implement new processes and gather feedback for improvements Balance building future capabilities while addressing current workforce challenges Qualifications 10+ years of progressive HR experience with significant Employee Relations leadership in complex organizations Experience building or transforming an Employee Relations function with measurable results Proven ability to conduct complex workplace investigations and manage sensitive employee matters Strong advisory skills for senior leaders on employee decisions that balance legal and business needs Expertise in using Employee Relations data to identify trends and improve issue management processes Experience coaching leaders and HR teams through challenging employee situations Deep knowledge of U.S. employment practices; global experience is a plus Benefits Opportunity to shape and build a new Employee Relations function from the ground up Direct involvement in high‑stakes employee matters, enhancing hands‑on experience Collaboration with HR, Legal, and business leaders to drive impactful change Access to a supportive environment focused on improving Employee Relations outcomes Potential for significant impact across a large enterprise Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
