COMPENSATION
$50 per hour

SCHEDULE
Fully Onsite, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week

CONTRACT TERM
3 month contract with high likelihood of extension or conversion to full-time employment.

POSITION OVERVIEW – The Category Manager for Tablet is responsible for driving sales growth and market share within national retailers and B2B. This role involves developing and executing category and channel strategies to enhance product visibility, optimize shelf space, and maximize revenue, and requires a deep understanding of consumer electronics, retail dynamics, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement category strategies across the full product lifecycle to increase Tablet sales and market share in national retail and B2B channels.
Design and execute channel-specific strategies to optimize product distribution and penetration in retail and B2B channels.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail and B2B partners, negotiating agreements for promotional activities, merchandising space allocation, and pricing strategies.
Develop quarterly promotion plans for national retail accounts, ensuring alignment with sales objectives and operational efficiency.
Monitor category and channel performance metrics such as sales, inventory turnover, and market share, and provide actionable insights to improve results.
Collaborate with marketing, product development, and supply chain teams to align on product offerings, pricing, and promotional activities.
Own the retail P&L for Best Buy, developing plans that drive revenue and margin improvement.
Oversee category and channel investment budgets to maximize ROI on marketing and promotional spend.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field, and 8+ years of experience in retail management, category management, or consumer electronics.
Proven track record of driving sales growth and market share in national retail and B2B channels.
Exceptional negotiation and relationship-building skills, with a track record of collaborating effectively with internal accounts and key external retail partners.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
Experience in the consumer electronics and/or mobile sector, especially with Best Buy (preferred).
MBA and 6+ years of relevant experience (preferred).
Strong communication and presentation abilities, capable of influencing stakeholders (preferred).
Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel and PowerPoint (preferred).
Familiarity with retail analytics platforms such as Circana or GAP Intelligence (preferred).
