Telemetry Technician - Per Diem

Continuously watch monitors and ensure appropriate, timely responses to alarms; verify correct identification of basic rhythms, lethal rhythms, and artifact; maintain EKG monitor alarms and respond as needed. Continuously observe all monitors assigned and respond to alarms promptly and appropriately. Complete EKG interpretations including rate, regularity, PRI, QRS, QTI, QTc, ST segment, waveform alterations, and rhythm interpretation. Ensure strip interpretations are validated by RN. Minimum Qualifications Must complete and pass the EKG class for Monitor Techs and required competencies on the education platform within 30 days of start date and pass other tests/competencies as required by Select Medical. Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Background as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Licensed Paramedic, or RN nursing student with EKG training (LPNs limited to working as telemetry tech only). #J-18808-Ljbffr Rush Specialty Hospital
