Children's Waiting Room Attendant

Provide supervision to children (ages 12 months to 12 years old) whose parent/sibling(s) have medical appointments at the Steven A. Cohen Clinic. Operating hours for the Children’s Waiting Room are Monday through Friday from 0900 to 0500. Program and Services Management Provide a variety of activities for toddlers to 12 years old Model exemplary behavior for parents and volunteers Interact with children and provide a nurturing environment Communicate to Programs Manager and POC at Hospital any issues or concerns in CWR Follow all Child Abuse Reporting procedures when necessary Supervise all Volunteers Ensure that all CWR policies are followed Facility Management Open and close the center Maintain a safe and clean childwatch area Ensure new parents fill out proper registration forms and provide required documents Ensure each parent signs child in and out Maintain registration files and parent information up to date Ensure all records are kept locked in filing cabinet when not in use Report unsafe conditions to the Executive Director Provide parent and Programs Manager with written accident report involving any child Cleans all toys with Lysol Wipes or spray upon closing of center Equipment Management Keep toys and equipment clean and sanitary and in good working condition Inform Programs Manager about needed supplies Qualifications Work experience with children. Understanding of military family challenges. Experience preparing and developing age-appropriate activities. Reliable transportation is required for this position.
