About the Position

Job Title: MRI Tech Profession: MRI Tech Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10.5 Experience: Minimum 1 year of current MRI Tech experience License: BLS, ARRT (MR) preferred Must-Have: - Minimum 6 months of current MRI Tech experience - BLS Description: Travel opportunity for MRI Tech. Schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Unit Information: Magnetic Resonance with 2-4 MRI scanners. Client has 400 beds. MRI department consists of 5-10 full-time employees. Day shift includes 2-3 techs, 1 in charge, and 1 mid shift. Evening shift currently has 1 tech filling the position. Night shift is not currently staffed and requires on-call coverage. Patient ratios are estimated at 1:1, but not guaranteed. Equipment used includes GE Artist 1.5T scanner and 3T Siemens Tim Trio. Outpatient buildings have 3T GE GEM and 1.5T GE Signa. EMR systems used are Meditech and Centricity. Typical procedures performed include neuro, anesthesia, and IV sedation. Administering contrast agents is also part of the role. Candidates should have the ability to multi-task. Patient care experience is a priority. Unit guidelines include 1-2 holidays per year and 1-2 nights of call per week. Call weekend occurs every 6-8 weeks. The position offers the opportunity to work with new equipment and technology.
