Therapist Respiratory Therapist

Job Summary:

Provide specialized respiratory care to adult patients in various clinical settings, including ICU, ED, medical-surgical floors, telemetry, and psychiatric units. Ensure patient safety and deliver high-quality interventions through established protocols and emergency procedures.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Administer respiratory treatments and therapies to adult patients in critical and general care units.
  
  
• 
  Monitor patient responses and adjust ventilator settings or therapy plans accordingly.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  
  
• 
  Float to ICU, ED, or other units as needed to maintain optimal staffing and patient care.
  
  
• 
  Maintain accurate documentation of treatments, assessments, and patient progress.
  
  
• 
  Comply with hospital policies, safety standards, and certification requirements.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold an active RRT certification through NBRC or an equivalent certifying body.
  
  
• 
  Possess a valid RRT license and BLS certification.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate at least 1-2 years of experience in respiratory therapy.
  
  
• 
  Experienced with EPIC electronic medical records and travel assignments.
  
  
• 
  Be capable of working in diverse settings, including ER, ICU, MS, TELE, and psychiatric units.
  
  
• 
  NRP certification is highly desired.
