Production Supervisor- 2nd ShiftEaton's Aerospace Group has an opening for a Production Supervisor located in the Euclid, OH facility. The Production Supervisor is responsible for the overall supervision of the Euclid manufacturing site from the hours of M-F... 3:30 pm – 12:00 am. This individual will lead the manufacturing team in achieving production schedule, product quality, product cost, and employee safety goals. This role will also coordinate with all functional and service groups to meet customer requirements, and drives performance to achieve or exceed financial plans and strategic goals. The individual will also be responsible for implementing Lean Manufacturing tools within the focused factory, while motivating the team to create high performance culture.Job responsibilities include:Direct all manufacturing personnel to ensure completion of customer requirements.Assess performance indicators, and take appropriate actions, to ensure safety, schedule, cost, and quality goals are met.Ensure that required documentation and/or system transactions (employee hours, work order postings, etc.) are executed to meet customer, manufacturing system, and financial reporting requirements.Assure that policies, procedures, and other documentation are followed to ensure consistent and compliant manufactured product.Provide leadership and commitment in support of continuing improvements in quality, productivity and delivery performance.Assure that Environmental, Health, and Safety issues are addressed considering local regulations, Eaton policy, and good corporate citizenship.Evaluate operational performance of the group in order to facilitate performance management, commendations, and improvements.Specify job assignments for manufacturing personnel, and monitor performance, to achieve product delivery and cost requirements.Coordinate and assist with manufacturing initiatives, participate on teams in order to drive best practices across manufacturing.Identify critical machine for set-up reduction and reduce set-up times.Develop and implement standardized work for all critical processes in the machining, assembly, and test areas.Manage on shift training execution, documentation and follow up.On shift facilities management and maintenance alerts/communication to following shift.Qualifications:Basic Qualifications:High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution is required.Minimum three (3) years of supervisory experience in a Manufacturing or Operations environment.This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the Euclid, OH facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in the Aerospace or Automotive IndustryExperience managing in a union environmentExperience in a machining environment.Prior experience with assembly MFG. processes.Prior experience line balancing/ time studies.Continuous Improvement project experience.Knowledge of CNC machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repairs, and maintenance.Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.Experience with working on and leading cross functional teams.Excellent technical writing, communication, and presentation skills.Persuasive Communication skills.
