Small Engine Mechanic

Full-Time/Part-Time

Position Summary

As a Small Engine Technician, you will perform repairs and general maintenance of Echo and Stihl outdoor power equipment in our retail/warehouse environment. You will also assist in the store and warehouse as needed.

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday
  • Overtime opportunities
  • Weekends as needed

Key Responsibilities

Small Engine Repair

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with Echo and Stihl outdoor equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance on power garden equipment, including oil changes, blades and belt changes
  • Assist in the store and warehouse as needed

Customer Interaction

  • Work with customers to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed
  • Represent FAE in a professional manner with customers and business partners
  • Promote FAE market share through excellent service and customer referrals

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all company safety procedures as to not cause harm to yourself, customers, co-workers, equipment, or inventory.
  • Utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required. Operate all equipment according to FAE policy and government regulations. Comply with OSHA regulations, work rules and policies.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or (GED).
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to lift 50–75 lbs. and work outdoors in varying weather
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn propane systems

Preferred

  • Prefer two (2) or more years of experience with proven experience as a mechanic or service technician, particularly with small engines
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively

Salary: $16 - $20 Hourly
