Aerospace Project Engineer

Job TitleIn addition, the appropriate candidate must be able to self-manage project tasks and deliverables, be familiar with risk mitigation and able to travel to support projects.The PE role will manage and coordinate customer projects, ensuring progress action of all tasks as well as completing technical requirements to ensure project schedule commitments are met.Tasks and Responsibilities:This role will be responsible for several activities. These activities include but are not limited to:Manage projects by following PMI or TSS AHA APM Process and AS9100 requirementsDevelopment, coordinate and/or manage customer requests (RFI, RFQ, Q&A) including creation of quotations or proposalsRisk mitigation using various project management tools and internally developed toolsUnderstanding of customer requirements, applications, products, manufacturing process complete feasibility reviewDevelop and manage project schedules using Microsoft Office ProjectInterpret or develop technical requirements or solutions as neededDesign and validate airframe seal solutionsCoordinate technical and commercial reviews as needed to ensure project successEnsure commitments to all project deliverables are completed and on timeEnsure quality and delivery requirements are captured, communicated and completedDevelop, coordinate and/or manage awarded projects (scheduling, risk planning, task management, testing, qualification, Q&A)Support factories as needed to fulfill project deliverablesFacilitate regular meetings (including kick-off meeting) with project stakeholders to maintain communication, project statusRegularly update project tracking and project status documentsAbility to manage multiple projects and tasks at any one timeWork with cross functional groups to deliver to project commitmentsEducation and Experience:Minimum 1 year experience in a corporate engineering setting requiredBachelors degree required, engineering or other relevant technical degree strongly preferredWorking knowledge and proven experience using AutoCAD, Solidworks or other 3D software strongly preferred.Project management experience, PMP, CAPM, PgMP or equivalent certification preferredDesign experience, preferably with elastomer or composite parts preferredAerospace industry experience preferred.Competencies:CATIA proficiency or equivalentProficiency in Microsoft ProjectProficiency in Microsoft PowerPointProficiency in Microsoft ExcelTechnical and commercial communication skillsUnderstanding of elastomer and/or composite material behavior and manufacturing processes (airframe specific knowledge preferred)Travel:Up to 25% travelApplication:Last Application Date 8/20/2026The final compensation offered to the candidate may be based on geographical location, work experience and/or skill level.
