Wage: $18.77

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM- 4:00 PM

Position Description:

NHTC is seeking a reliable and skilled
Maintenance and Transportation Assistant to support the upkeep of our facilities, equipment, and fleet across multiple locations. This role is responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, ensuring safe and efficient operations, and supporting overall organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities: -Perform routine maintenance tasks including:

• Minor electrical repairs
• Minor plumbing repairs
• Painting and carpentry
• Small engine repair
• General facility maintenance

-Maintain and service a fleet of vehicles according to scheduled maintenance plans -Ensure buildings and grounds are well-maintained at all NHTC locations, including:

• Snow and ice removal
• Lawn mowing and watering
• General groundskeeping

-Maintain and repair equipment and tools to meet NHTC safety standards -Order, obtain, and deliver supplies for all NHTC programs -Track and manage inventory, ensuring adequate supply levels at each location -Monitor usage of materials and supplies to ensure efficiency -Ensure facility compliance with ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) standards -Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments -Participate in required training and in-service activities as assigned -Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications -Experience in general maintenance, facilities, or related field preferred -Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems -Experience maintaining vehicles and/or small engines is a plus -Understanding of ADA compliance requirements is preferred -Strong organizational and time-management skills -Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks -Strong communication skills (written and verbal) -Valid driver’s license required -Must be 18 years of age
