Job Description

The Maintenance Technician plays a key role in delivering high-quality maintenance, repair, and light construction support services across a variety of facilities and client sites. This position requires a versatile trades professional who can troubleshoot building systems, perform preventative maintenance, and complete small construction and installation projects. The successful candidate demonstrates strong craftsmanship, a commitment to safety, professionalism in all interactions, and a focus on delivering an excellent customer experience.

Pay Rate: $26-28/hr.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair tasks, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, drywall repair, and other facility-related activities.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on facilities, equipment, and building systems to keep them in optimal working condition.
• Identify maintenance concerns, diagnose issues, and implement effective repair solutions in a timely and efficient manner.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to building systems and facility infrastructure, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Complete light construction and renovation projects, including the installation of fixtures, cabinetry, flooring, doors, and other building components.
• Assist with facility improvements, remodels, and repair projects, following established plans, timelines, and quality standards.
• Read and interpret project specifications, drawings, and work orders to ensure accurate and successful completion of assigned tasks.
• Maintain compliance with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and company safety procedures during all work activities.
• Communicate effectively with clients, property representatives, vendors, and team members regarding project status, maintenance needs, and timelines.
• Provide informed recommendations for repairs, preventative maintenance, and facility improvements to support long-term asset performance.
• Deliver a professional, courteous, and positive customer experience throughout all phases of work, representing the organization with integrity.
• Manage multiple work orders and priorities, organizing tools, materials, and time to complete tasks efficiently across various job sites.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience as a maintenance technician, service technician, handyman, or skilled trades professional in commercial, industrial, municipal, or facility environments.
• Working knowledge of plumbing systems, including basic repairs, replacements, and maintenance.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems, including basic troubleshooting and minor electrical repairs within applicable codes and guidelines.
• Proficiency in carpentry, including installation and repair of doors, cabinetry, fixtures, and general structural components.
• Experience with drywall installation, patching, finishing, and related repairs.
• Proficiency in interior and exterior painting, including surface preparation and finishing.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities for building systems and facility infrastructure.
• Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while effectively managing multiple priorities and tasks.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record to support frequent travel between job sites.

• Experience working in a variety of facility environments, such as commercial buildings, industrial sites, and municipal facilities.
• Ability to read and interpret project specifications, work orders, and basic construction documents.
• Familiarity with applicable building codes and safety requirements related to maintenance and light construction work.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities, schedules, and job site conditions.
• Comfort working both indoors and outdoors in active maintenance and construction environments.

Work Environment

The role involves working in both indoor and outdoor environments across multiple job sites, with exposure to varying weather conditions throughout the year. The Maintenance Technician frequently travels between locations, using standard maintenance and construction tools and equipment to complete tasks safely and efficiently. Typical site conditions may include exposure to dust, noise, fumes, and other elements commonly found in construction and maintenance settings. Work is hands-on and field-based, requiring regular movement, use of tools, and adherence to safety procedures while performing maintenance, repair, and light construction activities.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Timnath, CO.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
