HR Generalist

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an HR Generalist on behalf of a rapidly growing, venture-backed technology organization. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and systems-driven HR professional who enjoys building scalable processes, supporting employees across multiple locations, and serving as a trusted operational partner within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.



POSITION OVERVIEW


The HR Generalist will serve as a key member of the People Operations team, overseeing critical HR systems, payroll, benefits administration, compliance, onboarding, and employee lifecycle processes. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Administer and optimize HR systems, payroll, benefits, onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle processes.
• Manage multi-state and international payroll operations while coordinating with external providers and partners as needed.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and international employment requirements, including registrations, reporting, and leave regulations.
• Coordinate employee visa and immigration processes in partnership with outside counsel and serve as an employee-facing resource.
• Lead benefits administration activities, including employee support and annual open enrollment.
• Maintain employment documentation and records for employees, contractors, and international team members.
• Partner cross-functionally to improve HR processes, automate workflows, and deliver an exceptional employee experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources, People Operations, or a related field, preferably within a high-growth or startup environment.
• Strong experience administering HRIS platforms, payroll, benefits, and employee lifecycle processes; advanced Rippling experience highly preferred.
• Knowledge of multi-state employment laws, payroll practices, and compliance requirements; California experience strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting visa and immigration processes in coordination with external legal counsel.
• Familiarity with international employment models, global workforce operations, and cross-border compliance considerations.
• Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
