What You'll Do

• Prep fresh ingredients and follow standardized recipes to keep every order consistent
• Cook, assemble, and plate meals according to restaurant standards and ticket times
• Use proper portioning techniques to keep quality high and costs controlled
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards throughout your shift
• Keep your station clean, stocked, and organized, following all health and safety guidelines
• Communicate clearly with your fellow cooks and servers to support smooth, accurate service
• Stay focused and move with urgency when multiple orders come in at once

What We're Looking For

• Restaurant cooking experience is preferred , but we welcome motivated candidates who are willing to learn
• Ability to read and follow recipes and production guidelines with care
• Strong multitasking skills and a drive to work efficiently during rushes
• Team-first mindset and pride in producing great food
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

REQUIREMENTS

• Prepare and cook burritos, bowls, and related menu items to brand standards and portion specifications.
• Follow recipes, production lists, and station setup instructions to ensure consistent quality and speed.
• Maintain proper food handling and safety practices, including temperature control, labeling, and storage procedures.
• Keep your assigned cooking station clean, sanitized, and fully stocked throughout your shift.
• Adhere to all sanitation schedules, including pre-shift setup, mid-shift cleaning, and end-of-shift closing tasks.
• Monitor ingredients for freshness, rotate stock using FIFO, and report low inventory or spoilage promptly.
• Assist with batch prep and line prep as needed, including cooking proteins, heating fillings, and prepping toppings.
• Use kitchen tools and equipment safely and correctly, including grills, hot holding equipment, and slicers.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts when required and communicate shortages or reorders to the shift lead.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service during rushes by supporting the line as needed.
• Be able to stand, lift, and move through a kitchen environment for extended shifts in a shift-based schedule.
• Arrive on time and reliably complete assigned tasks within scheduled start and end times for full-time or part-time availability.
• Comply with company policies for attendance, uniform standards, and personal hygiene.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff and follow direction from the shift lead or manager to keep service running smoothly.
• Notify a supervisor immediately of any food safety concerns, equipment issues, or maintenance needs.
• Demonstrate flexibility to cover other stations or assist with prep and closing tasks based on business demand.
• Prior cooking experience is preferred, with willingness to learn Boca Grande Burritos recipes and procedures.
