Cloud Network Engineer

100% Remote

Cloud network engineering team started about 2 years ago

• Previously two teams that combined into this org
• Azure/AWS environment, all customer focused
• WAF configuration and customer environment support

This team has few different responsibilities

• CloudFlare; heavily used
• Cloud DevOps: GitHub, Terraform, Python
• Palo Alto and Azure Firewalls: updating firewall rules, upgrading FWs
• Load Balancing: AWS load balances and moving to Azure Load balancers
• Network Security and MSG
• Azure DNS
• Automation: python & Github

Goal for these roles:

• Improve automated tasks and efficiency to stabilize environments prior to future initiatives and improvements
• FEDRAMP prep

Background:

• background/combo in Network and DevOps is a must
  • Doesn't matter where they start and ended in experience but must have both
• Must be USC due to FEDRAMP and FTE

On Call:

• team of 5 people for FEDRAMP (evenings and weekends)
• First customer wont come until 2027
