Controller / Accounting Manager

Location: Chester, VA
Schedule: Full-time | Onsite | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

A rapidly growing manufacturing company is seeking a hands-on Controller / Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations and support continued expansion. This is a high-impact opportunity for an accounting leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys process improvement, and wants to play a key role in operational decision-making.

The company operates in a modern, paperless Oracle NetSuite environment and offers an energetic, collaborative culture where leadership values initiative, accountability, and new ideas.
Key Responsibilities

• Own full General Ledger and month-end close process
• Maintain accurate and timely financial reporting
• Lead accounting operations including oversight of AP/AR workflow
• Support rebate accounting and commission calculations
• Analyze operational and product performance trends
• Assist leadership with forecasting and business analytics
• Identify and implement accounting process improvements
• Participate in inventory and operational accounting activities as needed

Qualifications

• Strong General Ledger and month-end close experience required
• Manufacturing or inventory accounting experience strongly preferred
• Experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments
• ERP system experience required; NetSuite preferred
• Strong organizational, analytical, and process improvement skills
• Ability to lead accounting operations while partnering cross-functionally

This role reports directly to executive leadership and oversees an AP/AR Clerk. No collections responsibilities involved.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $55.00 per hour
