Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Critical Care Float Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: Minimum of 5 years with ICU experience and multiple critical care settings License: Valid Registered Nurse license required Certifications: BLS and ACLS required, NIHSS and TNCC preferred Must-Have: Experience with various ICU units such as Neuro ICU, Cardiothoracic, Burn ICU, Trauma Surgery, and IMC/Progressive/General care populations. Ability to float to multiple ICU specialties. Telemetry test must be passed prior to starting. Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse who would like to be part of a Magnet-certified hospital and Level 1 Trauma Center. Applicants should enjoy growing their career in an academic learning environment. Candidates must appreciate the autonomy and flexibility of working in various critical care settings. Experience with adult populations in ICU is required. Basic Arrhythmia experience is mandatory. Travelers must pass a telemetry test prior to starting. The telemetry exam requires 100% identification of lethal rhythms such as ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, and asystole. No incorrect answers are allowed on questions regarding third-degree heart blocks. A passing score of 80% or higher is required for both adult and pediatric exams. Travelers will have two attempts to pass the telemetry exam. If a traveler fails the second attempt, they must submit a certificate of completion of a cardiac interpretation review course before a third attempt is assigned. If a traveler does not pass after three attempts, the assignment will be canceled. Please ensure competency in multiple ICU specialties. This role requires adaptability and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
