Location: Jackson, Mississippi
Pay Rate: $98/hour
Start Date: ASAP
⏳ Duration: 10 Weeks
Schedule: Days | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
️ Hours: 40 hours/week

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Radiation Therapist to join the team at Merit Health Central for an exciting 10-week travel assignment . This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Radiation Therapist looking for a consistent daytime schedule , competitive pay, and the chance to work in a dynamic hospital environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical experience, excellent patient-care skills, and hands-on expertise with Varian radiation therapy equipment and ARIA EMR .

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver radiation treatments safely and accurately according to physician-prescribed treatment plans.

• Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment in accordance with established protocols.

• Utilize Varian equipment and ARIA EMR effectively.

• Verify patient identity, treatment plans, positioning, and treatment parameters prior to therapy.

• Provide compassionate support and education to patients throughout their treatment.

• Collaborate closely with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, physicists, nurses, and other members of the oncology team.

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

• Follow all radiation safety, quality assurance, and infection-control standards.

• Monitor patients throughout treatment and promptly communicate any concerns or changes in condition.

✅ Requirements

• 2+ years of Radiation Therapist experience

• ARRT(T) certification required

• BLS required

• Mississippi State License – may be obtained once the position is offered

• Recent experience with Varian equipment

• Experience with ARIA EMR

• Cerner experience is a plus

• Permanent address must be 50+ miles from the facility to qualify as a traveler

• Strong clinical, communication, and patient-care skills

• All requirements must be met at the time of submission
