The company is headquartered in Houston, Texas.We’re on the lookout for passionate self‑starters who thrive in fast‑moving, collaborative, and innovative environments.Summary:This position helps develop, implement, administer, and continuously improve multiple tools, processes, and programs related to the Corrosion Control Program, and regulatory compliance. Primary duties will be considered a SME in all aspects of corrosion control, and regulatory support. The Integrity group works collaboratively across multiple organizations and assets located throughout North America. This group also serves as the primary interface for regulatory agencies and industry groups including but not limited to: DOT/PHMSA - Office of Pipeline Safety, Texas Railroad Commission, AMPP, and Pipeline Research Council International.Job ResponsibilitiesSupport Corrosion Programs to meet regulatory compliance and participate in agency audits.Make data driven decisions to identify program improvement opportunities.Provide support in development and improvements in Corrosion Database’s, Specifically PCS.Monitor and identify KPI’s and communicate execution activities for improvement.Provide support to other departments in determining mitigation efforts for internal and external corrosion.Leads corrosion related Root Cause Analysis projects and recommends corrosion control solutions.Maintains external corrosion programs for Plains North America through data review, determine work for remediation, and technical support for field corrosion staff.Ensures new programs and process roll outs are effective and sustained. Mentors’ colleagues on corrosion control data, mitigation, and monitoring techniques.Participates in industry organizations and committees as assigned.Conducts Assessments, evaluations, and tracks metricsInterprets business partner needs, assesses requirements, and identifies and implements solutionsIdentifies positive and negative trends in business operation over time to create a compelling case for overall process improvement.Gathers best practice information from external sources to create a compelling case for change/improvement throughout the organization.Develops and uses tools to assess ongoing performance, measure results, and encourage superior achievement.Identifies relevant integrity threats and operating risks for assets and determines preventive and mitigative (P&M) measures.Provides Engineering support for Integrity Projects recommending appropriate corrosion mitigation, testing, and monitoring equipment.Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required: Minimum 10 years corrosion control experienceAMPP CP-4 Certification DesiredAMPP CP-3 Certification RequiredStrong Leadership qualitiesUnderstanding of PHMSA (195.452) and NEB (CSA Z662) RegulationsStrong understanding of internal and external corrosionExperience with Corrosion Database PCSStrong written and verbal communication skillsMust be able to implement and sustain a planStrategic Thinker #PlainsThe selected candidate will be eligible for company benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Time Off (PTO), and Free Parking.Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checksCompliance with the Company’s drug and alcohol policy including pre-employment D&A testing.This position is not eligible for employment-based visa sponsorship.
