Job Title: Maintenance Technician - WEEKLY PAY - $22 TO $30 AN HOUR

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician who can effectively interact with supervisors and co-workers, work collaboratively towards company objectives, and adhere to safety protocols. The role involves performing preventative maintenance checks, inspections, and systematic troubleshooting of industrial equipment. The technician will also be responsible for testing equipment post-repair, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and responding promptly to production-down issues to minimize downtime. Additionally, the technician will perform welding, metal fabrication duties, and train others in equipment use and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Utilize personal computer-based maintenance management systems.
• Perform basic electrical work in compliance with State Electrical code.
• Document all electrical work as required.
• Be available for call-ins, overtime, and rotating shifts.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to address plant issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance on alternate shifts to avoid manufacturing interruptions.
• Maintain housekeeping expectations and promote on-the-job safety.
• Perform all assigned work orders.

• Experience in troubleshooting electrical, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems in an industrial environment.
• 2-year degree in electrical, SCADA, or electromechanical preferred.

Work Environment

The position involves standing for extended periods, working in temperatures of 90+ degrees, and occasionally lifting weights of 50 to 70 pounds. The work environment includes exposure to mechanical hazards, dust, dirt, odors, irritants, and high noise levels. The technician may work indoors and outdoors, and will be required to wear appropriate attire such as work jeans, steel toe shoes, and clothing without profanity. The facility operates on a 1st shift schedule from 5 AM to 3 PM, Monday through Thursday, with Fridays available for overtime. It is a larger facility with over 50 employees, and the environment is not temperature controlled and can be dirty.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Canton, SD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.
