GENFARE Overview Genfare is a fare‑collection technology provider in the detection and measurement segment within SPX Corporation. How You Will Make An Impact (Job Summary) SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As the Human Resources Generalist for the Genfare business, you will serve as a point of contact for local leaders and employees, serving as a valued resource in supporting HR processes and initiatives to meet business objectives and support employee engagement & performance. This is a hands‑on position that supports about 150 employees with a focus on employee relations, performance management, recruiting, and continuous improvement. What You Can Expect In This Role (Job Responsibilities) Employee Relations: Address day‑to‑day HR issues such as performance management, benefits questions, attendance, payroll, and other workplace concerns; escalating complex issues as appropriate. Providing guidance and coaching focused on performance management, employee engagement, career development, recruiting, and retention. Ensuring compliance with HR policies, including employee disciplinary and completing workplace investigations. Employee Life Cycle: Supporting the full scope of the employee life cycle including implementing staffing plans, partnering with external temp agencies and the Corporate recruiting team to fill roles, fostering an engaging work environment, and onboarding/offboarding. Applying compensation programs to inform candidate offers and annual compensation reviews for new and existing employees. Managing and supporting temporary agency staffing, performance and relationships. Facilitating or coordinating training on performance management, leadership development, pay planning, new employee orientation, compliance, etc. Coordinating, supporting and monitoring employee performance reviews at mid‑year and end‑of‑year cycles for target completion. System & Compliance: Maintaining up‑to‑date knowledge about the changing landscape of the labor market, best practices, and employment laws through benchmarking, networking and research/publications. Supporting HR systems such as Ceridian Dayforce and SuccessFactors, coordinating the collection of information, inputting data and running/auditing reports. Managing attendance tracking system and administering the attendance policy. Serving as site benefit contact including disability and FMLA inquiries. Supporting compliance with regulatory requirements including EEO, FLSA, OSHA, FMLA, ADA, and corporate compliance guidelines. Supporting ongoing and periodic HR processes such as payroll, pay planning, state & project affirmative action reporting, system data audits, etc. Continuous Improvement: Acting as an advocate for the continuous improvement and safety culture; providing HR and business metrics for monthly/quarterly reporting; participating in other projects as assigned that relate to the overall goals of the HR department and organization. What We Are Looking For (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education) Required Experience Minimum of 3 years HR Generalist experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience administering local recruiting, training, and compensation programs. Preferred Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Problem solver with a desire to make an impact. Excellent analytical and organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Experience supporting recruiting, employee relations, training, performance management, and addressing conflicts. Knowledge of employment laws (FMLA, FLSA, OSHA, EEO, ADA). Proactive, out‑of‑the‑box thinker, keen to drive process improvement and excitement over change management. Experience working with payroll, and time and attendance systems. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to communicate with and influence others. Ability to maintain composure and discretion in challenging situations. Proven track record of meeting commitments with the highest standards of confidentiality, ethics, and integrity. Education & Certifications Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or a related field. Master’s degree in human resources, business, organizational development or a related area preferred. PHR, SPHR, GPHR, SHRM‑CP or SHRM‑SCP certification preferred. Travel & Working Environment Office environment with occasional work in a plant/manufacturing environment. Minimal travel ( Manufacturing environment requires use of foot, eye and ear protection when in production areas. SPX Pay Transparency Statement We recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company. As a result, we aim for flexibility in structuring competitive compensation offers to ensure we are able to attract the best candidates. As required by law in this state, the estimated salary range for this position is $88,000–$110,000 and represents our good faith estimate of what our ideal candidates are likely to expect. We tailor our offers within the range based on organizational needs, internal equity, market data, geographic zone, and the selected candidate’s experience, education, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may be relevant. This position is eligible to participate in a discretionary bonus, subject to the rules governing the plan.
