Job Title Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Free Standing ER) Location Charleston, SC | Free Standing Emergency Room Schedule / Job Type Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM | Every other weekend required Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced, stand-alone emergency room environment serving both adult and pediatric populations Manage a patient ratio of 1:5–7, delivering timely and effective emergency nursing interventions Accurately document all patient care activities using Epic electronic health records Recognize and respond to neurological emergencies, including CVA presentations Float to alternate free-standing emergency department locations as needed based on facility demands Participate in emergency response operations during hurricane season (June–November), which may include assignment to emergency response teams Required Qualifications Active South Carolina RN License or a valid Multi-State/Compact RN License Minimum 1 year of general emergency nursing experience (adult and pediatric) ACLS , BLS , and PALS certifications required Experience with CVA patient management and Epic EMR Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; locals considered on a case-by-case basis All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application; approval is based on facility needs Preferred Experience / Skills NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification Prior experience in a stand-alone or free-standing emergency department setting Why Join Us First-time travelers are welcome, offering an excellent opportunity to launch your travel nursing career in a dynamic emergency care environment Work in a specialized free-standing ER setting with a streamlined focus on emergency patient care, using industry-leading Epic charting technology Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 792759.
