Diesel Mechanic

Our client, a leading organization in the industrial and equipment maintenance sector, is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join their team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting the Equipment Repair and Maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, a proactive attitude, and excellent mechanical aptitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

Location: Mendon, IL

Pay Range: $25-$30 per hour

Shift: Day Shift

What's the Job?

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair generator engines and related equipment
• Perform maintenance and mechanical repairs on gas engines
• Maintain organized inventory and receive/check in parts shipments
• Order and track replacement parts as needed
• Operate a forklift when necessary

What's Needed?

• Experience as a gas automotive mechanic required
• Diesel mechanic experience preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Forklift experience is a plus
