Structural Engineer

Mending Our Mistakes, Inc. is seeking a structural engineer willing to help assess the feasibility of reusing several long-vacant masonry buildings. The property has been abandoned for decades but remains standing. We are looking for someone who can help us understand what portions of the property may still be structurally viable, what areas may need reinforcement, and what buildings are most realistic for adaptive reuse. Responsibilities Review property photos and existing measurements Help identify likely structural concerns Advise on which buildings may be strongest candidates for reuse Identify possible risks related to floors, roof systems, walls, or foundations Help estimate what type of structural work may be required for stabilization Provide general guidance that could support grant applications or fundraising Desired Qualifications Structural engineering background Experience with older masonry, brick, concrete, or historic buildings Familiarity with adaptive reuse or redevelopment projects preferred Special Instructions Please include a brief summary of any experience with historic or long-vacant buildings. #J-18808-Ljbffr MENDING OUR MISTAKES INC
