Position Summary
We're hiring skilled, hospitality-driven bartenders to join our front-of-house team as we open Deepwell — the newest full-service restaurant from the Kindred Hospitality group. This is a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment suited to bartenders who take pride in genuine hospitality, deep food and beverage knowledge, and creating a memorable experience for every guest.

About Us
Deepwell is an upscale casual restaurant and part of a growing local restaurant group, with several other restaurants in the area owned by Joe & Katy Kindred. Our culinary team has earned numerous James Beard Foundation nominations along with other national and local accolades. We're known for seasonally-driven menus, craft beer and cocktail programs, and stellar wine lists — and we're looking for team members who bring the same level of care to the guest experience that our kitchen brings to the plate.

Responsibilities

• Craft and pour cocktails, draft beer, and wine selections with precision and consistency
• Maintain deep working knowledge of the cocktail, beer, and wine programs, including seasonal changes
• Deliver warm, attentive, and knowledgeable service throughout each guest's visit
• Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of daily menu changes, preparation methods, and ingredients
• Engage guests at the bar with warm, attentive service and thoughtful recommendations
• Accurately and efficiently execute drink orders for both bar guests and the dining room
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar throughout service
• Verify guest age and identification in compliance with NC alcohol service laws
• Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure well-paced, accurate service
• Process orders and payments accurately using the restaurant's POS system
• Uphold the restaurant's standards for hospitality and responsible alcohol service at all times
• Work collaboratively as part of a team during high-volume, fast-paced shifts

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience required; upscale or high-volume bar experience strongly preferred
• Strong working knowledge of classic and craft cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine, or a strong willingness to learn
• Ability to thrive behind a busy bar during high-volume, fast-paced shifts while maintaining composure and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stand and work for extended periods; ability to lift kegs and cases as needed
• Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Must meet minimum age requirements for serving alcohol per NC state law

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay: $4.50/hr + tips
