Occupational Therapy Assistant

Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, carries out all therapeutic modalities or treatment programs planned by the Therapist. Identifies and communicates treatment responses and/or difficulties to the Therapist. Progresses and alters the treatment programs as education directs.

Minimum Education Required:

• Associate Degree in Occupational Therapist Assistant

Minimum Experience Required:

• Entry Level

Licenses / Certifications Required:

• Valid driver's license to operate a motor vehicle in the State of Wisconsin and/or Illinois based on job assignment location.
• Current BLS and/or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or the ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
• Valid licensure to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the State of Wisconsin.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

• Ability to read, write, hear, speak and comprehend the English language.

Principal Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

• Follows treatment plan as outlined by licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Transfers patients as needed for therapy.
• Performs patient/family teaching.
• Communicates with Physical Therapist in patient treatment planning.
• Provides documentation of patient treatment.
• Administers medications in a timely manner, safely and in accordance with policy and procedure.

Salary Range: $21.50 to $32.50/hr (based on experience)
