Make a difference for the world as part of a company leading the electric vehicle revolution.The Rail Truck Sales Team Manager will be responsible for driving sales of Orange EV trucks to rail customers including railroads and intermodal rail terminal operators by influencing the communication and messaging plan, generating and nurturing prospects, customizing and aligning our solution to meet customer needs, identifying grant/funding opportunities and helping customers apply, participating in trade shows and events, and other activities necessary and helpful for accelerating sales growth.Candidates are expected to have 5+ years of experience selling to customers and bring an understanding of the challenges and complexities of navigating the rail and intermodal terminal operator organizations and a knowledge and relationship with the players in these organizations and operating environments.This can be a complex, technical sale, with a long selling cycle. Customer engagements often involve executive-level interactions, so that experience and credibility is important. Existing relationships will be key. Candidates should demonstrate capacity to understand technical details as well as the customer experience with heavy duty trucks in the application of their operations and understand the contractual relationships between railroads and contract terminal operators as it relates to asset ownership, operation and associated maintenance.Candidate can be remote or be based at the Orange EV HQ in Kansas City, KS, understanding that they will have the ability to cover North America rail and intermodal operational sites and regional office locations.Position ResponsibilitiesLeverage your existing relationships and build new ones with railroads and contract operators across the countryDevelop and execute sales plans and strategies to increase market penetrationCreate and manage the sales funnel for your accounts and ensure timely progress is being made on leads and prospects, to achieve and exceed truck sales goalsConvey data, insights, TCO calculations, and other guidance for helping build prospects' comfort with a transition to electric vehicles and the financial and other benefits that come with itDemonstrate strong technical competence to explain the details of the truck, its primary components, the charging solutions, and how they would fit into the specific site operations and infrastructureIdentify and leverage external funding sources for grants and incentives to assist customers with funding for purchasesUnderstand infrastructure needs for electrical power requirements and charging solutions to support the trucksTravel as needed for in-person customer visits, site assessments, demos, and to perform customer training.Nurture existing customer relationships to ensure all needs are met and they have what is needed to accelerate future ordersEnsure all relevant customer engagements are tracked in our CRM for follow-up, visibility by others in the organization, and history retentionIdentify improvement opportunities in our sales materials or resources and bring the ideas to optimize themCollaborate with teammates and cross-functionally to provide the best customer experiencePartner with other Regional Sales Managers as neededLeverage various internal resources to enhance sales and marketing materials and outreach and provide technical information or respond to customer questionsPerform other duties as assignedPosition QualificationsExisting relationships with rail procurement and operations management and executives5+ Years of demonstrated successful sales experienceSelling Class 8 trucks or truck-related components into rail, port, logistics, intermodal, or supply chain operationsBachelor's degree or equivalent experienceMust be willing and able to travel and be on-site with customers or attend relevant trade shows and conferencesProven technical ability to understand and communicate component functionalityCommercial Vehicle / Equipment experienceSuccess engaging at multiple (including senior) levels in a prospect's organization for complex salesFamiliarity with CRM systems (ideally Salesforce) for relationship and sales funnel managementProficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) including demonstrated competence with Excel to talk through financial modeling of recommended solutionsStrong written, verbal communication and presentation skillsA "can do" attitude collaborative approach and ability to structure "win-win" dealsPassion, drive, self-motivation, and competitive fireIdeal Candidates Will Also HaveNavigating and using government purchase incentives in sales effortsSelling or working with electric vehiclesExperience selling solutions based on total cost of ownership (TCO)An ideas leader - demonstrates strength in bringing better approaches to accomplish goalsOrange EV is an Equal Opportunity Employer and seeks diversity in candidates for employment.EEO Employer W/M/Vet/Disabled/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity
