Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Take on a pivotal role as a Special Education Teacher specializing in self-contained behavior programs at the elementary level. Three experienced educators are needed to support students in 3rd, 4th, and 6th grades during the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time, onsite position is based near Peoria in the Phoenix, AZ area, serving a diverse group of 10-15 students per class. Most students qualify under Other Health Impairment (primarily ADHD and ODD), Autism, or Emotional Disabilities. While their cognitive abilities are generally intact, behavioral challenges significantly impact their academic progress.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• Valid educator certification and current IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card are required.
• Direct experience teaching in self-contained programs with a focus on behavioral interventions.
• Strong understanding of evidence-based strategies for managing behavior in the classroom.
• Previous work with students diagnosed with OHI (including ADHD and ODD), Autism, or Emotional Disabilities.
• Ability to adjust instruction to support students performing below grade level due to behaviorally related disruptions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner effectively with staff, families, and support teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized instruction for students with behavioral needs.
• Create positive, structured classroom environments that foster both academic and social-emotional growth.
• Assess student progress and develop data-driven strategies to address individual challenges.
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and administration to deliver comprehensive support.
• Maintain meticulous documentation for IEPs and behavior intervention plans.
