Production Supervisor – Milwaukee, WI

Location: Milwaukee, WI
Shift: 1st or 2nd Shift
Pay: Up to $35/hr. depending on experience (Available overtime up to 60/hr. weeks)

Overview

Growing Milwaukee-area manufacturer is seeking experienced Production Supervisors to lead employees in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Opportunities may support different areas of production, including fabrication, welding, mechanical assembly and electrical assembly.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities
• Lead, coach and develop production employees
• Assign manpower based on production needs and priorities
• Ensure production schedules, quality standards and safety expectations are met
• Monitor workflow and help resolve production bottlenecks
• Work with Quality, Engineering and other departments to resolve production issues
• Address employee performance, attendance and accountability
• Train and develop employees
• Help drive productivity and continuous improvement
• Communicate production status, issues and priorities to management
• Maintain an organized and efficient production area
• Be hands-on and willing to get involved on the floor when needed

Qualifications

• 2 yrs Previous manufacturing supervisory or leadership experience
• Broad manufacturing background preferred
• Experience with welding, metal fabrication, mechanical assembly, electrical assembly or similar manufacturing
• Strong people-management and communication skills
• Ability to hold employees accountable while maintaining a productive team
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
• Hands-on leadership style
• Strong understanding of production, quality and safety expectations
