Procurement Specialist IThe Procurement Specialist I is responsible for supporting the procurement process for Primoris Energy Services in Sherman, Texas. This entry-level role involves assisting with purchasing activities, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services necessary for operations.Assist in the preparation and processing of purchase orders and requisitions.Source new vendors and suppliers, and maintain a database of approved vendors.Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers for standard materials and services under supervision.Track and expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any delivery discrepancies.Communicate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and specifications.Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier information.Assist in conducting market research to identify new products, services, and potential cost savings.Collaborate with accounts payable to resolve invoice discrepancies.Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.Participate in inventory management activities as required.Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.0-2 years of experience in procurement or a related supply chain role.Basic understanding of procurement principles and practices.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.Experience with procurement software or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new processes and technologies.Valid driver's license may be required.Primoris Energy Services is a major direct-hire contractor in the U.S. delivering self-performed turnkey industrial construction and EPC services.
