Registered Nurse (RN) - 13 Week Assignment

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring adherence to the nursing care plan. This role involves supervising Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants while promoting a safe environment for both patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission to establish an individualized plan of care.
• Identify patient teaching needs and collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and facilitate direct patient care through the nursing process.
• Initiate discharge planning on day of admission and patient education in anticipation of discharge.
• Communicate changes in patient status to support continuity of care.
• Provide direction and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel and foster a positive work environment.
• Identify service needs related to supplies and equipment for effective patient care delivery.
• Engage in professional growth and pursue continuing education opportunities.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license required.
• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to the first shift (CIRH ONLY).
• Minimum of two (2) years of acute bedside clinical experience required.
• Experience in LTAC, Stepdown, or PCU is highly desired.

Schedule

This position is a Day shift, 3x12.0 schedule.
