Play an essential role in supporting student success by delivering high-quality occupational therapy services in a school-based, after-school setting. This contract opportunity focuses on providing individualized, compensatory OT services to a third-grade student, with a flexible schedule that fosters a positive partnership between therapist and family. You’ll be a driving force in helping this child develop skills crucial for daily living and academic achievement in a supportive, student-centered environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license valid in New Jersey
• Previous experience in school settings or working with pediatric populations preferred
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with families and school staff
• Knowledge of IEP implementation and documentation best practices
• Ability to work independently while aligning with educational plans and therapists' standards

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver compensatory occupational therapy sessions as mandated (11 sessions of 30 minutes each), scheduled after 3:30 PM with flexible coordination for the student and family
• Provide ongoing weekly therapy sessions (30 minutes per week), transitioning to monthly as outlined in the IEP
• Assess and address student needs to facilitate functional independence in both academic and daily activities
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and communicate updates with relevant stakeholders
• Foster a positive therapeutic relationship to encourage participation and maximize benefit of each session
