Per Diem Pharmacy Technician in Bronx, NY

$16 - $23 per hour

This position offers a rewarding opportunity for a skilled Pharmacy Technician to support prescription processing and customer service in a retail pharmacy environment. The role is essential in ensuring accurate and efficient handling of prescriptions while maintaining inventory and assisting customers with professionalism.

Newark, New Jersey

Schedule/Hours:

Per Diem (PRN)
Shifts: 1st shift
Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Assignment dates: May 18th, May 22nd, May 27-29th, June 1-5

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately enter patient information and prescription orders into the pharmacy computer system.
Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescription orders safely and efficiently.
Manage and order over-the-counter inventory to maintain adequate supply levels.
Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers with their needs and concerns.
Communicate with third-party prescription plans to resolve adjudication issues, ensuring smooth prescription processing.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Active and valid Pharmacy Technician license in the state of New Jersey (required)
Bilingual in Spanish is preferred to enhance communication with diverse customers
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and dispensing
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced retail pharmacy setting
Good problem-solving skills, especially related to insurance adjudications
