# Job Opportunity – ICU Registered Nurse (Neuroscience ICU) – North Carolina**Start Date:** August 17, 2026 **Location:** Asheville, North Carolina **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** Self-schedule based on unit needs; 6 weekend shifts per scheduling period; 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio in a 12-bed unit

Highlights:

• Specialize in neuroscience critical care, including post-thrombectomy, TPA, and post-neurosurgery patients
• Advanced ICU procedures including CRRT, bedside EVD management, and arterial line monitoring
• Utilize Cerner documentation system and Baxter pump technology
• Float opportunities to other ICU departments or step-down units as needed
• Supportive unit environment with unit secretaries and technicians available
• Located in a scenic mountain region known for excellent quality of life

Requirements:

• Active RN license in North Carolina (or compact state)
• ACLS and BLS certifications (current)
• NIHSS certification required
• ICU nursing experience required
• Neurology ICU experience strongly preferred
• Experience caring for post-thrombectomy, TPA administration, and neurosurgery patients highly desirable
• Proficiency with bedside EVDs, CRRT, and arterial line monitoring preferred
