Water/Wastewater Project Manager
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Our client, a leading engineering and infrastructure consulting firm, is seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Project Manager to join their growing team in Los Angeles.
This is a great opportunity for a project manager with strong water and wastewater experience to lead major infrastructure projects throughout Southern California while working with an excellent organisation known for delivering complex and impactful projects.
Responsibilities:
- Manage water and wastewater infrastructure projects from planning through design, construction, and project closeout.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers, designers, and technical specialists.
- Act as the primary point of contact for municipal clients and key project stakeholders.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, scopes, and resource plans.
- Oversee the preparation of engineering reports, plans, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Support business development efforts, including client engagement and proposal development.
- Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Mentor and support junior engineering staff.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering discipline.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred; candidates pursuing California PE licensure are encouraged to apply.
- 8+ years of experience in water and/or wastewater engineering.
- Previous project management experience delivering municipal infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of water treatment, wastewater treatment, pipelines, pumping stations, and related infrastructure.
- Excellent communication, client management, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with municipalities and public-sector clients throughout California.
- Design-build and alternative delivery project experience.
- Established client relationships within the Southern California water market.
- Experience supporting business development and project pursuits.
