Staff Accountant

Our client is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic professional to be part of their corporate accounting team. This is a highly visible position with a fast track to promotion for the right person. Essential Functions Assist in ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of the financial position and results of operations on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis for internal and external purposes. Completing the monthly closing process on a timely and accurate basis, along with providing complete and accurate analytical analysis of the results of operations. Performing account reconciliations and identifying and resolving issues on a timely and accurate basis. Supporting new system implementations and/or process improvements. Ensuring internal controls are operating effectively in assigned areas. Maintaining the G/L structures and reporting. Supporting the annual external audit process and other financial audits. Qualifications 1 - 3 years of accounting experience in a public accounting firm or corporate accounting role. Bachelor's or higher degree in accounting. General knowledge of accounting, financial reporting and internal controls. Analytical and problem-solving skills required. Strong computer, spreadsheet and database skills.
