Position details:

• Location: Morton Plant Hospital Clearwater, Florida
• Status: PRN
• Shift: Varies does include weekends

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the preparation of foods according to the standardized recipes, and production methods.
• Ensures high quality using safe, sanitary food handling techniques during preparation, service and storage and daily quality control checks.
• Works multiple production stations and conducts quality control checks on taste, temperature and presentation on patient, cafeteria, and catering foods.
• Trains and orients selected staff on food production along with safety and sanitation practices.
• Leads production in absence of Executive Chef according to facility.
• Performs other duties as necessary.

Experience:

• Required: 4 years as a Cook / 2 years with high school diploma or culinary diploma
• Preferred: 2 years in healthcare

Education:

• Required: High school diploma or equivalent

Certification:

• Required: ServSafe Manager food safety certification within 1 year of hire.

Specific skills:

• Knowledge of food safety

• Computer skills appropriate to the position
• Detail oriented
