DevSecOps Platform EngineerSalt Lake City, UTA fast-growing technology-driven investment and financial services organization is seeking a senior-level Platform Engineer to join its Infrastructure and Cloud Engineering team. This group is responsible for building and maintaining secure, scalable, and highly available production and development environments that support critical business applications and client-facing platforms.This role will focus on modern cloud infrastructure, DevSecOps practices, automation, and platform reliability within a high-growth engineering environment. The position works closely with software engineering, infrastructure, and security teams to improve developer experience, operational efficiency, and system resiliency.ResponsibilitiesBuild and support highly available cloud infrastructure environments for enterprise applications and internal platformsPartner with security and engineering teams to address platform and CI/CD security initiativesHelp drive DevSecOps best practices across development and deployment workflowsDevelop and maintain tooling for Linux and MacOS-based engineering environmentsSupport site reliability initiatives focused on scalability, resiliency, observability, and uptimeAutomate infrastructure provisioning, deployment pipelines, and operational processesDesign, deploy, and maintain Kubernetes-based containerized environmentsContribute to infrastructure monitoring, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and optimization effortsSupport cloud-native application environments and distributed systems architecturesQualifications6+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability EngineeringStrong hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and servicesExperience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub, GitLab, or similar platformsKnowledge of DevSecOps methodologies and security tooling including SAST, DAST, and dependency scanningExperience supporting containerized microservices architectures using Docker and KubernetesStrong Linux administration, scripting, and automation experienceExperience working with databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, or similar technologiesProgramming or scripting experience with Python, Ruby, Java, or comparable languagesExperience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormationStrong understanding of networking, distributed systems, system reliability, and performance optimizationExcellent communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional engineering teamsCloud certifications are considered a plusPrevious experience supporting financial systems, trading environments, or low-latency platforms is highly preferredAdditional Information: This position offers competitive compensation, performance-based incentives, equity participation, and comprehensive benefits.
