What You'll Do

• Provide critical care nursing for high-acuity ICU patients, including post-op CABG, valve surgeries, and aortic dissection cases
• Monitor and manage invasive devices such as PA catheters, balloon pumps, and IABP
• Administer treatments like Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
• Support transplant recovery patients (liver, heart, lungs, kidney, pancreas)
• Contribute to emergency response efforts, including potential assignment to an "Emergency Team" during critical events
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document care accurately in Epic EMR

What You Need

Required:

• Valid RN license in Louisiana or eligible for licensure
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• Minimum several years of ICU experience, preferably in high-acuity settings
• Familiarity with Epic EMR platform
• Experience with PA caths and balloon pumps preferred

Preferred:

• Previous transplant ICU experience
• CRRT experience
• Ability to adapt to fluctuating patient needs in a high-pressure environment

This assignment in a high-acuity ICU unit involves caring for surgical recovery, transplant, and complex ICU patients.
