Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Active and current Speech-Language Pathology license in Virginia
• Experience with K-12 student populations, ideally at the high school level
• Strong understanding of conducting student assessments and evaluations
• Proficiency in developing, writing, and updating Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Skilled in delivering direct therapy and working collaboratively with educational teams
• Comfortable attending and contributing in meetings and supporting administrative requirements
• Ability to work independently, as this role requires travel between school sites (travel time is compensated within contracted hours)
• Willingness to complete required fingerprinting and background check as per district guidelines

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessment and evaluation of students’ speech and language needs
• Deliver direct therapy according to IEP recommendations
• Write and update IEPs, participate in meetings, and document student progress
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student goals are met
• Attend team meetings and participate in district-mandated professional development
