Must-Have: Charge nurse experience preferred or willingness to train for charge role

Description: Must have charge nurse experience for this role. This position can expect to regularly work in the charge nurse position. An active RN license is required for auto offer. This is a high-risk labor and delivery unit. Average daily deliveries are around 7 but can have up to 14 patients with inductions and high-risk antepartum. OB triage averages 4-5 third trimester testing patients each day. Must be willing to float to like units if needed. Weekends are required every other week. Time off will be approved on an individual basis upon offer. All time-off requests must be included in submission. The unit features 10 OB triage rooms, 10 labor delivery rooms, 3 operating room suites, and 4 PACU rooms. Traveler can be called off for 1, 12-hour shift every 2 weeks. Staffing includes interdisciplinary support from various teams. Patient diagnoses include high-risk labor and delivery needs. Must be able to assist with various labor and delivery procedures. The facility is a Magnet-accredited, Level II trauma center. Candidates must have the ability to manage complex labor and delivery situations. Preference will be given to those with charge nurse experience. All required certifications must be current. Travelers are not accepted if they are local to the facility. Candidates should check housing options in the area as they may be limited.
